The current approach to resolving sovereign debt crises does not work: sovereign debt restructurings come too late and address too little. Though unresolved debt crises impose enormous costs on societies, many recent restructurings have not been deep enough to provide the conditions for economic recovery (as illustrated by the Greek debt restructuring of 2012). And if the debtor decides not to accept the terms demanded by the creditors, finalizing a restructuring can be slowed by legal challenges (as illustrated by the recent case of Argentina, deemed as "the trial of the century"). A fresh start for distressed debtors is a basic principle of a well-functioning market economy, yet there is no international bankruptcy framework for sovereign debts. While this problem is not new, the United Nations and the global community are now willing to do something about it. Providing guidance for those who intend to take up reform, this book assesses the relative merits of various debt-restructuring proposals, especially in relation to the main deficiencies of the current nonsystem. This book provides an overview of the current debate over whether a holder of a patent essential to an industry standard, who has promised to license such patented technology on fair, reasonable, and non-discriminatory (FRAND) terms, may nevertheless obtain an injunction from a federal court or an exclusion order from the International Trade Commission against infringing products that implement the industry standard. The book first summarises several fundamental principles of patent law, then discusses the relationship between standard-setting organisations and FRAND licensing. It continues with an explanation of the role and duties of the International Trade Commission (ITC) and how there are different legal standards that apply to the award of injunctive relief in federal courts and in the ITC. Also discussed are the recent developments relating to standard-essential patents and FRAND licensing that have occurred in federal agencies responsible for antitrust enforcement, ITC cases, and congressional hearings.

La psicoterapia es un proceso de interaccion humana que tiene un fin culturalmente definido y que posee un conjunto de reglas que lo enmarcan socialmente. Como en toda interaccion humana, los participantes regulan verbal y no verbalmente su interaccion para alcanzar los fines que han acordado. Este libro presenta un estudio sobre la expresion verbal de la regulacion mutua en un proceso de psicoterapia, focalizando sobre la interaccion discursiva entre un paciente y su terapeuta. Utilizando la vision espistemologica y metodologica del dialogicismo, los resultados obtenidos permitieron determinar un conjunto de posiciones discursivas que adoptan los participantes durante el dialogo terapeutico, las que son conceptualizadas como sujetos discursivos o posiciones subjetivas. Tales posiciones poseen caracteristicas psicologicas y discursivas que las identifican y diferencian. Durante el proceso terapeutico regulan la interaccion entre si y con el otro en el dialogo terapeutico. Estos hallazgos permitieron generar un modelo sobre el cambio y rupturas de la alianza terapeutica que iluminan la discusion sobre las nociones de subjetividad e intersubjetividad implicitas en el estudio."
